Weekly Apartment Rental in Bakirkoy: How to Book

The difference is that a week means far more time at home, so it is worth choosing the apartment type and the daily routine a little more carefully.

• The building has a lift and security cameras; carrying shopping bags in and out all week is easy, and late returns feel comfortable.

A weekly stay is most often chosen for a week of work, a family visit, a long city holiday, or temporary accommodation while your own home is being renovated. Whichever it is, picturing how a day will look inside the flat makes the choice easier.

Which apartment type for a week?

Booking a week, step by step

1. Fix your dates. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 11:00. Arrive on a Monday, stay seven nights, and you leave on the following Monday morning.
2. Ask for the total price. We give you the current price for seven nights straight away by phone or WhatsApp. For public holidays and the summer months, we suggest asking early.
3. Talk about cleaning. Apartments are cleaned regularly. Agreeing up front which days the cleaning falls on makes the week easier to plan.
4. Get written confirmation. Dates, apartment type, total amount, payment method and the terms for cancellation and changes all appear in the confirmation message.
5. Choose how to pay. Cash, bank transfer, or credit card on site.

Making a week at home comfortable

• Shopping on day one: The market streets around Bakırköy Freedom Square (Özgürlük Meydanı) are about 6 minutes on foot and Capacity shopping mall about 9 minutes. Pick up the basics for the kitchen on day one and you will go out less during the week.
• Laundry: A week brings laundry with it; ask at booking what can be arranged.
• Transit card: An Istanbulkart works on Marmaray, the metro, Metrobus, the tram, ferries and buses. If you will be moving around the city all week, get one on day one.
• Getting around: Marmaray Bakırköy station is about 8 minutes away. Yenikapı takes about 15 minutes and Sirkeci about 20; check the current timetable for departure times.
• Evening walk: The promenade on the Bakırköy seafront is about 14 minutes on foot — a good route to fill the evenings on a longer stay.

Should you book the whole week or a few nights first?

If your end date is certain, reserving all seven nights in one go is simplest: availability is clear from the start, the written confirmation covers the whole week, and you stay in the same apartment throughout. If your end date is still open, book the nights you are sure about and mention at booking that you may want to extend. That way we can check quickly when you decide to stay longer; availability still depends on how full we are that day.

What to bring for a week's stay

• Passport (required for every guest at check-in; Turkish citizens can present a T.C. ID card instead)
• Comfortable walking shoes; Marmaray, the market and the seafront are all within walking distance
• Chargers and, if you need one, an extension lead
• A small bag for laundry
• Your own toiletries

Extending or shortening your stay

Plans can change within a week. If you want to extend, ask as early as you can; that gives you a better chance of staying in the same apartment. For early departure or a change of dates, the terms you were given in writing at booking apply, so keep the confirmation message.
