Apartment vs hotel

Daily Rental Flat or Hotel in Bakirkoy? A Short-Stay Guide

Using your own kitchen, having a separate living room, or staying a few nights with the family usually points to a daily rental flat. If you are in town for a single night, leaving early and eating out, a hotel will do — and so will a studio apartment for one or two people.

Below we compare the two options on concrete criteria and show, with examples from our apartments in the Zeytinlik neighbourhood, when one comes out ahead of the other.

Who is a daily flat better for?

  • Families with children: While the child sleeps early, the parents can stay up in the living room; the kitchen lets you prepare the child's food the way you normally would.
  • Stays of two nights or more: The longer the stay, the more the kitchen and the separate space earn their keep.
  • People who work in the evening: In a 1+1, the living room becomes a separate corner for evening work.
  • Two couples or groups of friends: In a 2+1, everyone gets their own bedroom and you share one living room.

When a hotel is enough

  • Guests staying one night and setting off early in the morning.
  • Guests who will not cook and will spend the whole day out.

In both cases a studio apartment (1+0) is a strong alternative: a tidy single-space flat for 1–2 people, with its own kitchen and private bathroom. The same operator's Bakırköy Apart Hotel page presents the same apartments as apart-hotel comfort; the address and the contact line are identical.

Which hotel comforts come with the flat?

In a daily flat you largely set the rhythm of the day: shopping, meals and rest are yours to arrange. Along the way you get the comfort you are used to from a hotel:

  • A building with a lift and security cameras
  • Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning
  • 24/7 hot water and regular cleaning
  • A phone and WhatsApp line open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Check-in from 14:00, check-out until 11:00

On top of that, every apartment has its own kitchen. The full list is on the amenities page.

Arrival and check-in

Hotels usually have a reception desk waiting when you arrive. In a daily flat, check-in is planned around the time agreed at booking. So let us know your arrival time in advance, especially if you are coming late at night. Our phone and WhatsApp line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a quick message is enough if you are delayed. The building has a lift, which means you go straight up to your floor with your luggage.

Which one for a short business trip?

For a single night and one meeting, the studio apartment (1+0) offers hotel-like convenience. If you are staying several nights and working in the evening, the separate living room of a 1+1 makes a difference. We covered the details in a daily apartment for a business trip.

How should you compare the cost?

We give you the current price straight away by phone or WhatsApp. When you compare, look at the whole picture rather than the nightly rate alone:

  1. How many nights will you stay?
  2. How many people are you, and how many separate sleeping areas do you need?
  3. How many meals a day will you eat out?
  4. If you are a group, does it take one apartment or several hotel rooms?

For a family of four, setting one 2+1 apartment next to the combined total of two rooms in a hotel makes the decision much clearer. Count the meals you would eat out as well; your own kitchen keeps that item under your control.

Quick decision table

Your situationOur suggestion
One person, one night, early departureStudio apartment (1+0) or a hotel

What to settle before you decide

Whichever option you are weighing up, sort these out before booking: capacity and bed arrangement, check-in and check-out times, payment method, and the terms for cancellation and changes. With us, all of it is confirmed in a written message at booking.

Common questions

Is cleaning included in a daily rental flat?

Yes, apartments are cleaned regularly. For stays of a few nights or a week, you can agree the cleaning days at booking.

For one night, is a daily flat or a hotel better?

If you are staying one night and leaving early, either works; for one or two people a studio apartment (1+0) is a practical choice. If you will cook or there are more than two of you, a daily flat is more comfortable.
